Abstract:

The study aims to identify the obstacles facing the work of investigative journalism in Iraq from the viewpoint of its editors These studies fall within the descriptive exploratory study, which aims to gather facts and data on the phenomenon of the lack of obstacles to press the Iraqi Survey. And adopted a search on the survey method whereby data variables collection as there are, in fact, through a questionnaire designed to serve the objectives of the research, was intentional sample of the book surveys the investigations in the Iraqi press has been chosen as The sample included months, the Iraqi press institutions with a wide reputation in the Iraqi street, according to the Iraqi journalists Syndicate statistics in terms of readers and follow-up included the newspaper time, and the long, morning, bright, workers Nirij network for investigative journalism and Iraqi journalists have reached the total all (25) investigative journalist by (5) reporters for each news organization has focused researcher as with its experience in journalism over 23 years focused on the book of investigative journalism actors who have the writings of the survey sparked controversy in the Iraqi street.

The study reached a consensus respondents and 100% on the existence of legal impediments, and unhindered access to the information came (80%) and handicap limited work culture survey in the center of the Iraqi journalist came by (60%) of the percentage of respondents with a disability lack of economic potential came in media institutions of modern electronic devices as a percentage of (60%) of the total respondents, and that the barrier lack of training and rehabilitation to deal with the press survey came by (48%) of the number of respondents and the presence of subjective obstacles came by 40%, came obstacle ergonomics came by 68% of the total respondents.
