The effect of the Swom strategy on the achievement of artistic anatomy for students of the College of Fine Arts – Diyala.

Abstract:

The aim of the current research is to identify the effect of using the Swom strategy on the achievement of second stage students in the Plastic arts Department – College of Fine Arts (Diyala) in the subject of artistic anatomy, as the researcher conducted the experiment on the second stage of the morning and evening studies, which were applied in the second semester of the academic year 2020 -2021, where the partial adjustment with the post-test was chosen.

The researcher chose the study sample in a random manner, as it amounted to (30) students from the second stage – the Department of Plastic Arts at the College of Fine Arts in Diyala, distributed over the two studies by (15) male and female students for each study (morning and evening), and the morning study was also chosen.          In order to be the experimental group that was studied according to the Swom strategy, and the evening study of the control group that was taught according to the traditional method, after it was statistically rewarded in the variables of intelligence, the test of previous knowledge, the previous achievement, the grades of the first semester and the pre-test.            The researcher chose the methodological material for the anatomy course for the second semester, as the experiment lasted ten weeks, during which an achievement test consisting of (25) items of the type of objective tests was prepared. (0.907). And after presenting it to experts and specialists in the methods of teaching art education and plastic arts, and then the researcher processed the data statistically using statistical methods such as Pearson’s coefficient and the T-test for two independent samples.            The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group that studied according to the Swom strategy compared to the control group that studied according to the traditional method in the achievement test (for technical anatomy). In light of the results obtained from this study, the researcher recommended the possibility of applying the strategy Sum in teaching the subject of artistic anatomy and the need to include this strategy within the vocabulary of the teaching methods curriculum in the Department of Art Education and other educational departments, as well as recommending the need to pay attention to the use of the Sum strategy in the academic subjects of the Plastic arts departments in the colleges of fine arts and for all stages.Key words: (Impact, Swom Strategy, Artistic Anatomy).
