 Abstract:

The current research aims to identify:

– What is the degree to which history teachers possess the skills of the twenty-first century at the secondary and preparatory levels?

– The level of twenty-first century skills for history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels according to the gender variable?

– The availability of twenty-first century skills for history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels according to the service variable?

The research was limited to history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels in Diyala Governorate for the academic year (2020-2021), As a research tool, and extracted its psychometric properties, and to complement that, the researcher applied the research tool to a sample of (312) schools and teachers from the above-mentioned research community, and then analyzed the data using the statistical bag for social sciences (spss) and the results were as follows:

1- The results showed that the history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels possess the skills of the twenty-first century at a medium degree.

2- There is no statistically significant difference between the average performance of females to the average performance of male history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels according to the skills of the twenty-first century according to the gender variable.

3 – There is no statistically significant difference between the average performance of history teachers at the secondary and preparatory levels according to the skills of the twenty-first century according to the service variable.
