Social capital in secondary schools: reality and challenges (analytical study)

Apstract:

The first topic is that school students are the main axis and the main pillar on which countries depend as they are the productive force. Therefore, the humanities and social sciences, especially sociology, psychology and social service, have been interested in studying young people, their trends and problems.

School social work is a branch of social service that has an active role in activating the educational process through the services, assistance and needs it provides to students who need these services.

The problem of the study came to determine the reality of social capital in secondary schools. And the objectives of the study to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by secondary schools and identify. Suggestions that can reduce these challenges. And the importance of the study is that social work in educational institutions in general and secondary schools in particular, and its functions contribute to the formation of students’ personality in terms of cooperation, interaction, commitment to laws, values ​​and standards of society.

The second topic: The type of study is descriptive and analytical about the reality of secondary schools and the obstacles of social capital, with regard to the management system of the school, students, parents of students, the social specialist (educational counselor) and what is related to society. The study reached the results, the school administration is working to end the curriculum and neglect aspects Psychological and social activities and that extracurricular activities, lack of time and school duplication contribute to isolating it from building relationships characterized by interaction, the presence of behavioral problems, and weak tolerance among student.
