Abstract :

Despite the great progress that the world has achieved in the past decades in human development indicators (enjoying a healthy, long and creative life with lower levels of deprivation and improving the quality of life), the indicators of sustainable development in Iraq and the impact of international and local variables remained stumbling and regressing, and did not witness progress. tangible, and deprivation of all kinds remained stifling people’s destinies and their development future, and progress neglected groups, groups and regions, and neglected many, and the gaps in spatial development remained deep and wide. The Corona pandemic came at the beginning of 2020, and its repercussions put economic, social and educational systems to the test, shaking traditional systems and threatening the human security of society.

This research dealt with the most prominent manifestations and repercussions of the crisis and the accompanying curfew for long periods and the deprivation of many vulnerable and poor groups and workers in the unorganized sector, which are repercussions that cast a shadow on the development scene in general and the high level of social risks in particular. The main objectives focused on the most important problems and obstacles facing individuals and groups, identifying the health, educational, economic and social indicators of the crisis and trying to reach a set of recommendations and proposals, as such developments and their repercussions require the adoption of an approach that includes an evaluation framework for the manifestations and repercussions of crises to formulate responsive policies and programs that depend On the latent energies of people and do what they aspire to in life. At the same time, the assessment of the crisis and its repercussions was based on the original pillars of sustainable development indicators that take into account the indicators of multidimensional poverty, the adoption of mitigation measures and the reduction of development gaps – and other current and future expectations.
