Abstract:

The research aims to determine the levels of environmental suitability and spatial compatibility Between natural factors and agricultural land uses in Thi Qar Governorate, located southy Iraq Between two latitudes (331 .) 33′ 30′) and (37″ 00′ 32°) N and arcs (12″ 38′ 45°) and (38″ 10′ 47°) E. rely search On Precipitation data for a complete climate cycle (1990-2020 m) and a digital elevation model (DEME) and thematic maps, and Visiblee Satellite acquired from the US satellite Landsat-8 for a year (2020), and relied in its treatment and analysis on the inductive approach, which begins with the particles and moves to the faculties, as the research began with the presentation and analysis of natural thematic maps and then moved to the comprehensive matching processes to determine the interrelationships and then produce a map of environmental suitability for agricultural land uses, reach the Search To a number of conclusions, including the possibility of cartographic modeling in the environment of geographic information systems in preparing a map of environmental suitability for agricultural land, resulting from the congruence of several objective maps of natural factors affecting agriculture, including maps of rain areas, elevations, slopes and production capacity of the soil using the tools of spatial analysis in (GIS) prepared to match spatial data in cellular format (Raster Overlay) and the result is an inferential map of the environmental suitability of the agricultural land.

key words: cartographic modeling, Environmental suitability spatial fit, visual analysis, Overlay.
