Abstract:

Intertextuality is a complex linguistic phenomenon based in its distinction on the culture and broad knowledge of the recipient, in addition to being one of the basic signs and features of literary creativity, indicating the embrace of texts and their interaction in order to produce semantic structures in new texts and re-invent them, and given the high culture of our poet Saeed Jassim Al-Zubaidi. A literary style that expresses original talent and cultural awareness. Literary intertextuality was one of the stylistic techniques in which his poetry was celebrated, and this type of intertextuality reveals its importance through the breadth of his presence in Al-Zubaidi’s poetry, and his evocation of poetic heritage and its use in his new literary text; To deepen a contemporary vision that he sees in the kind that he deals with in his poetry.

Literary intertextuality includes texts or other ideas prior to it by quotation, inclusion, allusion, or the like from the cultural balance of the creator, and thus a new text is formed for the poet. Therefore, the researcher chose this type of intertextuality, indicating its concept through applied examples taken from the poet’s poetry, and its intertextuality was direct and indirect.
