Abstract:

This study dealt with the geostrategic importance of the eastern Mediterranean site in terms of regional and international strategies. This region has become an arena for an international and regional geostrategic conflict over the ages over the natural gas supplies in which it was discovered. Several agreements and projects with the countries of the region.

The study also presented the geopolitical position of the eastern Mediterranean region, and the study identified disputed fields between regional and international parties.

The study concluded that most of the parties to the conflict seek to extend their influence in the Eastern Mediterranean by various means and methods. This study also monitors and illustrates a map of the declared alliances and the contradictions in political positions in the same region and the possibilities presented for the development of the conflict from a peaceful competitive conflict to a zero-military conflict.
