Abstract:

This research aims to study the personality of Al-Afshin Haydar bin Kaos, one of the most important military leaders in the Islamic state, whose name rose to prominence at the end of the first Abbasid era, After employing his mental and physical capabilities to get closer to the court of rule, he was able to create a prominent place for himself through the successive victories he had achieved against the anti-Muslim movements and revolutions, until the Caliph “Al-Mu’tasim Billah” made him the leader of the Muslim armies, after he was able to prove himself remarkably during the battles of Fatah Amoriya.

Because of the importance of this personality and the lack of interest in it in terms of the literature and studies that were conducted around it, the researcher chose it to be the subject of this study, and the researcher used the historical method based on the sequence of events according to the time period.
